This Sound Unit replicates the typical sounds of an American diesel locomotive. When the throttle is turned up slowly, you hear starting of the diesel engine, which then idles. When track voltage increases, you hear the drive (motor) sounds, which are synchronized to the voltage in the tracks. The horn sounds when the loco starts: Then you hear the motor being turned off.
