SKU: 26817 LGB 26817 Class 99.72 Steam Locomotive

Congratulations: 65 years "99 236" Brockenlok
In the Fifties, the
German State Railroad purchased a small series of new construction
locomotives to supplement the outdated motive power roster chiefly of
the Harzquer Railroad – but also of other meter gauge railroads. These
units were a further development of road numbers 99 221 to 223 delivered
in the Thirties. With an output of 700 horsepower, these 60 metric ton
and 12.5 meter / 40 foot 8 inch long locomotives fulfilled the
requirements set for them after initial teething problems were
corrected. These locomotives are still currently running on the HSB and
haul most of the traffic in the Harz Region – road number 99 236 too,
which has been in continuous use for 65 years as of 2020.
