Model of the German State Railroad (DR) tank locomotive, Road Number 99 5631, used on the Spreewald Railroad. The model has prototypical Era III paint and lettering. It is equipped with a powerful Bühler driving all of the wheel sets. Traction tires. The model has an mfx digital decoder. The headlights change over with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. The model has a variety of sound functions such as steam locomotive operating sounds, a whistle, and much more.

Please note this locomotive now features a decoder. This is the first time that this engine has had "sound". In order to provide and use all the sound features this loco has, LGB has suggested this loco only for the DCC enthusiast. The reason for this is that many of the features in former LGB locomotives available in analog, and DCC, could not be accommodated in these models without dedicating them to the enthusiast that operates his or her Railroad digitally. Gone are "volume controls", magnet operated bell and horn/whistle functions.
