        An F7-B is basically an F7-A without a cab or controls. The "B-unit" was designed to be coupled with an "A-unit" where a single engineer could operate both locos. That combination offered more power without requiring more labor, a major advantage for the railroads. The LGB F7-B is equipped with LGB´s acclaimed digital sound system. Sound effects include "notch" synchronized diesel motor, bell, horn and brakes. Additional sounds are accessible using the LGB Multi-Train System.
