        In the late-1940´s, General Motor´s Electro Motive Division (EMD) introduced this classic diesel-electric locomotive. With its handsome "Bulldog" nose and 1,500 horsepower, the F7 "A-unit" was an instant hit with rail fans and railroads alike. In total, over 2,300 were built for railroads across America. Across the southwest U.S., Southern Pacific® F7´s could be easily identified by their "Black Widow" paint scheme. You can add that distinctive design to your layout with this big LGB model. Two Bühler-powered trucks provide remarkable pulling power. Add an F7 "B-unit" (24582) for authentic digital sound.
