G-Scale Train Cars

Not only do G-scale train cars add realism to your railroad, but they also greatly enhance the play value of any layout. The many combinations of cars and opportunities for loading and unloading guarantee that your model railroad will never become boring!

Many of these G-scale freight cars have doors that can be opened and closed or tanks that can be filled with water, allowing for prototypical loading activities.

In the early days of the railroads, simple open or covered freight cars were most often used, but special cars were added as customer needs required. Among these were stock cars, refrigerator cars (or reefers), self-unloading cars, stake cars, container cars, tank cars, gondolas, heavy load cars, auto carriers, cars with sliding roofs and/or doors, cars with telescoping tops, Crane cars, work cars, inspection cars, and many more construction type freight cars.
